Graphic Design Specialist

Professional Biography

Alejandro works as Graphic Design Specialist with the Sanford Inspire Program.

Before joining the team, he worked as a freelance graphic designer where he gained experience in branding and environmental graphics. Alejandro is also interested in working to increase visual literacy in a media-driven world and harnessing the potential of this world to spark social change.

Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication from Arizona State University.

Teaching and Learning Specialist

Professional Biography

Laurie Camposeco is a Teaching and Learning Specialist with the Sanford Inspire Program where she researches and designs content for On-Demand Modules.

She worked as a teacher and instructional coach for eight years in the Murphy School District in Phoenix. Laurie also spent a year teaching in Mexico City.

Laurie received a Bachelor of Science degree in counseling from SUNY Brockport, NY and a Master of Arts in Education degree from the University of Phoenix.

Ben Clark ben-clark

Teaching and Learning Specialist Manager

Professional Biography

Ben Clark is the Teaching and Learning Specialist Manager for the Sanford Inspire Program where he leads the research and design of content for On-Demand Modules.

He has worked in education since 2003, serving students and teachers as a classroom teacher, social worker, teacher coach, professional development facilitator, curriculum designer, and teachers college faculty member. His areas of professional interest are culturally responsive teaching and learning as well as working with diverse students and teachers.

Ben is a proud graduate of Arizona State University where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Hannah Conner hannah

Instructional Designer

Professional Biography

Hannah Conner is an Instructional Designer for the Sanford Inspire Program.

She spent eight years as an elementary school teacher in the Alhambra School District. She also worked for five years designing and implementing customized teacher professional development services for schools and districts across the country.

Hannah received her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in education technology.

Caitlin Gaspar caitlin-tuffin

Marketing and Consulting Specialist

Professional Biography

Caitlin Gaspar works to share Sanford Inspire Program resources with current and future educators as a member of the marketing team. Her first year with the team was spent with the recruitment team, delivering effective messages and cultivating relationships with students and staff at local high schools.

Before joining the team, Caitlin was an 8th grade mathematics teacher and math team leader in Title I schools. She has also served as an Educational Policy intern for the Mayor of Phoenix.

Caitlin completed her undergraduate degrees at the College of William and Mary.  She also earned a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education at Arizona State University.

Professional Biography

Ben Kail is a Teaching and Learning Specialist for the Sanford Inspire Program.

Previously, Ben taught high school social studies for eight years in the School District of Philadelphia. He moved to Arizona in 2013 and spent one year as the Dean of Academics at Phoenix Collegiate Academy high school.

Ben received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds a principal certification from Cabrini College.

Professional Biography

Aaron Lim is a Graphic Design Specialist for the Sanford Inspire Program.

Heather Moffitt heather

Instructional Designer

Professional Biography

Heather Moffitt is an Instructional Designer for the Sanford Inspire Program.

Heather taught for 7 years in a variety of grade levels before becoming an Instructional Coach in the Peoria Unified School District for the past few years. During her role as a coach, she created and delivered customized professional development for the district as well as provided feedback and self-reflective opportunities for first year teachers to the district.

She has a Bachelors of Arts dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University.

Nicolas Navarrette nicolas-navarette

Graphic Designer

Professional Biography

Nicolas Navarrette is a Graphic Designer for the Sanford Inspire Program. He has experience working across multiple design fields including marketing, advertising, print production, and promotional product design.

 Nicolas graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. He is inspired to continue his education in the fields of Graphic Design and Industrial Design.

Professional Biography

Brian Nethero serves as Executive Director for the Sanford Inspire Program, combining his marketing background with his passion for education.

Previously, Brian taught 4th grade in the Roosevelt School District. He has facilitated new teacher professional development workshops and led a school team through an intensive summer school experience.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Marketing from the University of Missouri. He also completed two Masters’ degrees, in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership, with Arizona State University.

Production Team Manager

Professional Biography

Laura Ritzler leads a team that creates the interactive learning elements of our On-Demand Modules.

Prior to this role, she worked as a middle school science teacher in Phoenix and Los Angeles. Laura has traveled around the country training educators on effective integration of technology in the classroom.

Laura completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University and holds a Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University.

Valerie Simmons valerie-simmons

Management Research Analyst

Professional Biography

Valerie Simmons is the Management Research Analyst who leads program evaluation efforts for the Sanford Inspire Program.

She has extensive experience conducting qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies. Her recent projects include studies of game-infused learning for teachers, strategies for recruiting high school students into the teaching profession, preparing teachers to implement co-teaching, and measuring the impact of online learning modules.

Valerie earned her Master of Arts degree in Human Services from the University of Illinois and is currently working towards a Master of Arts degree in Political Science at Arizona State University.

Professional Biography

Ben Tieni directs the user experience of our online learning environments and seeks to spread our message of an inspirational teacher for each child with clarity. 

A multidisciplinary collaborator, Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Arizona State University and is excited to be supporting teachers to meet the needs of their students.

Lessita Villa lessita-villa

Teaching and Learning Specialist

Professional Biography

Lessita Villa researches and designs content for On-Demand Modules as a Teaching and Learning Specialist.

She previously held positions with the Sanford Inspire Program as a Curriculum Coordinator and Clinical Instructor. After joining Teach For America in 2005, Lessita spent five years of teaching in the Laveen Elementary School District and one year as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Phoenix Collegiate Academy.

Lessita earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Westmont college and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University. She is currently a doctoral student studying Leadership and Innovation.

Hang Vuong Hang

Marketing and Consulting Specialist

Professional Biography

Hang Vuong is a Marketing and Consulting Specialist for the Sanford Inspire Program. She has classroom experience as a high school science teacher and has worked with district level leaders on curriculum adoptions in various states. Hang brings her strategic consulting background and her passion for education to every conversation with our team and our partners.

Hang holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and Psychology from the University of Oregon, and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Arizona State University.
